You might wonder what is in the photo. it is actually water coming from the clouds - ULAN.
I thought that rain will not fall down on this side of the earth since this is a desert before. I am not aware of it because I haven't read anywhere or seen in the movies about it.
About eight (8) months after I arrived here in Qatar and while we are working inside the office, we heard something like my bumabato sa bubong ng warehouse namin. (By the way our office is inside the warehouse, which i will show you in the near future.) By instinct sumilip kami sa bintana para tingnan sa labas kung ano yun. I was realy surprised and almost stunned, MAY ULAN DIN PALA DITO? At ganun kalalaki yung patak na maririnig mo talaga. It will really call anyones attention, talagang magpapapansin siya. But it only lasted for less than five (5) minutes. Then aterwards makikita mo unti-unti na namang natutuyo yung lupa dahil sa init. Imagine yung bagong hugas na kawali na isinalang mo sa apoy na unti-unting natutuyo. No exaggeration, pero ganito talaga kainit dito.
Then somebody told us that the season will change from tag-init to tag-ulan. And true enough after several days the temperature was slowly cooling down. We were told that we should buy jacket that early coz the price will go up. Applicable din pala ang law of supply and demand dito. At first I settled for thinner ones, I thought I can bear the coldness. I thought it was only like Baguio where it is bearable and I only wore shorts. But I was wrong. Then I remembered Kuya Ver. He would tell us that when he was in Saudi before, I could not remember the place, he used to iron his bed before he would go to sleep dahil malamig din yung hihigaan nya. Sabi ko sobra naman! And here I am! Actually, I did it one time, hahaha!!! And nakakatuwa pag humihinga ka, may usok na nanggagaling sa bibig mo, ganyan kalamig dito.
Pansin dito ang pagkakaiba ng ibang lahi sa sa mga pinoy pagdating sa outfit. Yung ibang lahi would wear a jacket and long pants (mind you they call it jeans, maong man o hindi) Pero ang pinoy: doble-dobleng t-shirt with jacket on the outside and as usual, shorts na nakapaibabaw sa long pants! At hindi pa kumpleto yun, isama mo pa ang medyas habang naka tsinelas, hahaha! Anong binatbat ng mga "fashionista" jan. Pinoy talaga, matatawa ka nalang! But it feels good seeing it, sabihin mang baduy. It still reminds us of being a Filipino and parang nasa Pilipinas lang kami.
You see in the photo what Jimmy wears and yet he is still cold. It was taken infront of our room early in the morning after he took his breakfast. On his right side is a pool of water. May BAHA din dito. It is because of the poor drainage which i think they do not pay attention to dahil nga sa minsan lang naman umulan dito. We also heard that last year lang daw nagkaroon ng malakas na ulan compared to the previous years.
It started raining last Friday and until now ay umaambon pa rin ng paunti-unti. And many are saying na nagsisimula palang ang tag-lamig dito.
Para sa mga nag aakala na walang ulan dito, MERON PO!!!
